THE TERRACE
THEMED DINING & RETAIL
We were approached by UK-based leisure operator Teen Spirit, to rejuvenate their existing dining destination, The Terrace.
BRAND DEVELOPMENT
With capacity to seat over 300 guests in their open air seated area, they wanted to take advantage of the sun trap their location possesses and tourists crave. The 1,600m2 venue included a cocktail bar, kitchen servery, coffee bar and play area for children too. We worked together to create a colourful yet relaxing dining destination that would draw both tourists and locals alike. We started by re-branding The Terrace. We took inspiration from several places, including the surf scene, street food festivals and botanical English gardens to create a colourful, trendy and quintessentially British and relaxed environment, one that hasn’t been seen in the local area yet. We also created additional brand collateral, including the menus, packaging, marketing graphics and interior signage.
CONCEPT DESIGN
With the brand confirmed, we began to design the interior and exterior of the dining destination. Concept designs were created to capture the new brand and theme. Photo opportunity areas and ideas for decor were added to increase social media engagement for the venue.
These designs provided a vision of what the new venue would look like and helped us develop the space with the client. We then progressed to create schematic designs, providing a detailed layout of the venue for specification and allowing us to collaborate with build partners and the client to realise the vision of The Terrace.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCTION
To aid the development of The Terrace and ensure the opening date deadline was met, we provided executive production. This included liaising with suppliers and build partners to decorate and furnish the venue. Amidst a global pandemic and nationwide supply chain issues, we also provided on-site art direction and install supervision as well as specification of materials and suppliers to aid in the fast moving project completion.
