Winner revealed for Katapult’s Helping Hands Project Winner 2024

International themed attraction design company Katapult, has announced ZooAtronic as winner of their Helping Hands Project initiative 2024.

ZooAtronic aims to empower change and inspire people as advocates for the natural world with their concept for an immersive digital zoo experience. Guests will be able to explore the digital-led indoor attraction and connect with lifelike interpretations of wildlife and habitats from across the globe, without the need for captivity or long-distance travel.

Founder and Director at ZooAtronic Productions, Katie Tostevin-Hobbs, said, “I couldn't be more excited about the opportunity to work with such an accomplished and talented team of people who share the same passion for sustainability, social impact, and nature connection."

"The support that ZooAtronic Productions will receive as a Helping Hands Project partner will be instrumental for the next phase of our journey to make ZooAtronic a reality. Thank you to the entire Katapult team!”

Katapult will be providing £10,000 worth of insights, strategy, masterplanning and design expertise to ZooAtronic, as it seeks to open its first digital zoo location in the next five years.

Katapult’s Co-Founder and CEO Dawn Foote commented, “We had some wonderful applicants as part of our Helping Hands project, but ZooAtronic’s vision to create a stronger connection to nature, while making the world a healthier and more compassionate place, was a compelling winner.”

“As the world’s first B Corp Certified themed attraction design company, we are thrilled to once again use our expertise to generate a high social and environmental impact with Katie.”

Since launching the Helping Hands Project in 2018, Katapult has worked alongside UNESCO World Heritage Sites, museums and schools.

More recently, they’ve collaborated with community interest company Down to Earth and the Eden Project as they aim to transform the city of Derby, UK, into the nature based urban regeneration capital of the world.
