ART DIRECTOR
We are looking for an up-and-coming talent to join our team as an Art Director. The ideal candidate has a strong background in design, and is looking for the next step in their career.
You will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Directors and Producers to target and deliver the aesthetic elements of the project. You will both contribute and guide the creative project team to produce mood boards, graphics, 3D models, illustrations, renderings and other visualisations based on the creative strategy, concept narratives, and overall direction. You will also review the design and build of themed elements produced by our vendor partners to ensure that the artistic vision is carried through to the final installed product.
The projects range from tight turnaround design briefs through to full turnkey attractions and experiences. The ideal candidate will be a natural at building great working relationships with our clients, team and suppliers.

JOB SUMMARY & REQUIREMENTS
(WHAT YOU WILL DO)

Create moodboards and design briefs.

Assemble presentation decks, concept packs, and design packs.

Concept, sketch, develop, art direct, pitch and execute big-thinking ideas alongside the Creative Director.

Contribute ideas and work as part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design team.

Be organised, practise good file keeping, provide clear notes and feedback.

Stay on top of your professional development and emerging themed entertainment technologies and trends, using them to further develop unique creative concepts.

Effectively communicate ideas both internally, and with clients, listen to feedback and iterate effective creative changes.

Be a brand guardian for the IPs and brands that trust us to partner and collaborate with them.

There will be a requirement to travel for attending project meetings and on site art direction.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
-
2+ years of experience working in themed entertainment or with major brands/IPs.

Experience with spatial design.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.

Highly proficient / specialising in at least two of the following: Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Blender, Rhino, or Revit.

Strong communicator; verbally, written, and visual.

Passionate about design.

Eager to learn.
